Salman (R.A) says that on the last day of Sha’ban, Nabi (S.A.W) spoke to us and said: “Oh People, a great month has come upon you, a most blessed month, in which is a night greater in value and goodness than a thousand months. It is a month in which Allah has made fasting fardh by day and has made sunnah the Taraweeh Salaah by night. Whosoever wants to be close to Allah by doing any good deed, for such people shall be the reward like the one who had performed a fardh in any other time and whoever performs a fardh, shall be given the reward of seventy faraaidh in any other time.”
This is indeed the month of patience and the reward for true patience is Jannah. It is the month of showing kindness to everyone. It is the month in which a true Believers rizq is increased. Whosoever feeds a fasting person in order to break the fast at iftaar, for him shall be forgiveness of sins and freedom from the Fire of Jahannum and he shall receive the same reward as the fasting person (whom he fed) without the fasting person losing any reward.
Thereupon, we said: ‘Oh Messenger of Allah (S.A.W), not all of us can afford to give a fasting person something to break his fast with.’
Rasoolullah (S.A.W) replied: ‘Allah gives the same reward to the one who gives a fasting just one date or a drink if water or a sip of milk to break the fast with.’
This is the month, the first if which brings Allah’s mercy, the middle of which brings His forgiveness and the last of which brings freedom from the Fire of Jahannum.
Whosoever gives less work to his servants or workers, Allah will forgive him and free him from the Fire of Jahannum.
In this month, you should perform four things in great number, two of which is to please Allah, while the other two are such that you cannot do without. Those which are to please Allah are, that you should recite in great number the Kalimah Tayyibah [Laa ilaaha illallah] and Istighfaar. As for those which you cannot do without, you should beg of Allah for entrance into Jannah and ask protection in Him from Jahannum.
And whoever gives a fasting person water to drink, Allah shall grant him to drink from my fountain, such a drink, after which that person shall never feel thirsty again until he enters Jannah.”
Please remember my family and I in your duas!
Allah grant us the strength to rid ourselves of those vices that take us away from Allah, allow us to develop good habits that will stay with us even after Ramadhan has left us and accept our Ibadat made. Allah keep our intentions pure at all times, instill in us true love for His Kalaam and make us amongst His Wali’s. Allah give us patience to pass our tests, guide us and our family lineage to always remain on the Sirat-e-Mustaqeem and grant us death with Iman. Ameen ❤
Remember, you take one step towards Allah, Allah takes ten steps towards you.
May Allah protect us all and grant us the ability to overcome our Nafs.
Love and Duas,
