Nabi (صلى الله عليه و سلم) was 47 when the Muslims were forced by the Kuffar to settle in the ‘Valley of Abu Taalib’ with no food or necessities.

When Nabi (صلى الله عليه و سلم) was 50 years old, his uncle, Abu Taalib and his wife, Khadija (رضى الله عنها), passed away. In the same year, the incident at Taa’if occurred.

At the age of 51, 6 men of a group from Madinah Munawwarah accepted Islam when Nabi (صلى الله عليه و سلم) presented it to them while they were on pilgrimage to Makkah Mukarramah.

When Nabi (صلى الله عليه و سلم) was 52, the first pledge of Aqabah took place, with 12 more pilgrims coming from Madinah Munawwarah accepting Islam. Me’raaj also took place during this year.

Nabi (صلى الله عليه و سلم) was 53 when 73 men and 2 women came from Madinah Munawwarah to Makkah Mukarramah to invite him to Madinah Munawwarah. Nabi (صلى الله عليه و سلم) and Abu Bakr (رضى الله عنه) set off for Madinah Munawwarah, but had to take refuge in the ‘Cave of Thur’ for 3 days.

Hijrah begins

On the 8th day of Hijrah, Nabi (صلى الله عليه و سلم) and Abu Bakr (رضى الله عنه) reached Quba and stayed there for 14 days, during which time Nabi (صلى الله عليه و سلم) laid down the foundation of Musjidul Quba, the first Masjid in Islam.

Nabi (صلى الله عليه و سلم) entered Madinah Munawwarah on Friday, 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.
